hilarious

your satire on bad poetry is amazing

pupart responds:

This is not a satire! This is me, writing what i feel...

there is no way

he'd be able to smoke with the gloved hand, not at this point

what

relevance does communism have to environmental conservation?

is it because it spit-roasts successful businesses and destroys tens of thousands of jobs? because everyone who takes part in activism activities for it is an obnoxious faggot? because it miserably fails in attaining the goals it sets out to achieve?

[could be any of those]

it's a political ideology, not a high-efficiency solar-panel blueprint

Mister-Canada responds:

Thanks for the criticism, enjoy your day.

somebody, somewhere

has almost definitely been sexually aroused by this (7,732 views at time of writing)

with that out of the way I would like to recommend that you have more horrible nightmares if this is the standard of art that comes out of it; consider witnessing something incredibly traumatic sometime in the near future

dommi-fresh responds:

yea some people are fucked up. they are my target audience.

oh yes

I fucking love your exploitation of the art thumbnails, I usually click on anything with pink hair and breasts so I can write scathing things about it in reviews (you see I am secretly a repressed and frustrated homosexual, and this is my way of dealing with it)

either that or I just find anyone who spends all day drawing unrealistically proportioned young women intrinsically obnoxious (3x multiplier if it's anime)

either way blah blah this is well drawn &c. - this part of reviewing is always boring so THE END, NO MORAL

dommi-fresh responds:

i love you

wha

The problem I have (written that too many times now) with this image is that although you have put admirable effort into the detail and texture of the drawing (especially the hair), the actual underlying basic line-art doesn't seem to quite sit right in my mind - for example, the jawline to me seems to be far too wide and really very masculine, and the eye sockets and recesses seem a little oddly shaped and it makes me feel sort of confused if I look for too long.

Maybe you're bang on the money and I just have some underlying issues with the facial anatomy of Asian people, but either way my opinion stems from my interpretation, and there it is.

daryl2158 responds:

Thanks for the comment!

Well, it is a pretty odd angle to look at a face from, and I might have missed out a few visual cues to indicate the head's position, like shadows in some places. I think that's why it might look odd, though I'm pretty confident about the anatomy.

Can't really pinpoint what they are right now though. Looked through some reference photos online too, can't find any major differences between Asian and Caucasian jawlines, but of course, Asian eyes are much different.

A much reduced brow bone, smaller eyes, flatter faces, an epicanthic fold, and flatter, less pointed noses are some of the differences Asians have.

my brain

is screaming at me 'ZOOLOGICALLY UNSOUND' but my heart whispers 'badass'

i love you

UltraPitchFork responds:

brain has no mouth u silly boy!

I am a sucker

for the manipulation of art like this, but this is relatively simple and I think if you played around with more significant and interesting looking effects you could learn a lot from it aesthetically

not again

I have criticized artists for this before: if you are wearing a gas-mask, the whole way that it works is that you have a single filter protruding from the mask which one uses to draw in scrubbed air; if you require any other breathing apparatus e.g. an oxygen tank, the entire mask design and system is by necessity completely different from that of a gas-mask

SO STOP DRAWING GAS-MASKS WITH TUBES AND SHIT COMING OUT OF THEM PEOPLE, JUST USE AN INTERNET REFERENCE IMAGE FOR GOD'S SAKE THERE IS NO SHAME IN IT [capslock off]

as for the actual style and subject of the drawing, I don't really know what to think because it is a virtually incomprehensible scene; it mainly seems to be an arbitrary hodgepodge of anything anyone under the age of 15 finds 'cool' or 'dark' - I see a razor, evidently used to draw blood, an iPod (what), a dehumanised, sillhoutted figure scrawling some unhappy looking things on a wall with said drawn blood (featuring a frowning scribbly figure figure and a musical note), accompanied by a general feeling of solemnity and anguish, and some silly mechanical equipment that doesn't seem to be there for any reason (gas tank, &c.)

how would I sum this drawing up? the best approximation I could make is that it is the entirety of MySpace compressed into a single image file, save maybe an embedded music player at the bottom of the page and an additional drawing of gothic tinkerbell being showered in overlaid glitter.

SmokeryDots responds:

LOL you're funny, and you completely misunderstood this, or don't see it as I see it/see it ass I wanted it to be seen.
First of all, In Denmark were I'm from, we have something called a "røgdykker" or "smokediver" Idk what's called in English(?).
-My dad was one, and I found an old picture where he had a gasmask AND an oxygentank on. So... Tjeck facts, and don't think you know everything before you know for sure :-)

Second, Idk what you're talking about, i don't have facebook/myspace or an Ipod :-P hehe... Nooo, just goofing, but I don't :)

Let me give some pointers:
"13" (NOT oxygen/O2) is an unlucky number, and he breathes it.
He is alive yet all alone, ecxept the man he painted from his own blood, and the man he painted is standing, not the actual man.
The Air is poiseness, not like now (almost), therefore gasmask.
He's the last one alive. So he should be a lucky fellow but isn't.
Both "characters" are listening to music and have "the same bloody hands" so they are the same.
The drawn character has a crank to the head (He feels caught by his old habbits)
He's almost like a caveman.
And the hand may be some kind of symbol, either from sign language or heavy metal, who knows? Love or satan?

Try to see things differently, and not just as what they are.
It's something called symbolism. Just like red is for love, black for death, etc.

See with you're mind, not your eyes.
I'm not Emo, but maybe you are? -Or a person suffering from Emophobia?

-peace!

Haha... See it as you want to :-P

the physical logistics

of this scene's location in time and space are blowing my mind, but I'm not going to say it isn't a pretty well done piece of art just for that

the style and subject [naked mutant furries] isn't exactly what's up my street in terms of what I enjoy in art, but I'll definitely say that it's technically impressive, and the blue color scheme is very easy on the eye

also I am additionally impressed that you pulled off a very passable illustration of a galaxy (one of the most deceptively difficult things to draw ever, in my opinion), although the central high-activity region seems to have the shape texture of a huge blob of whipped cream

just so I don't have to start writing any full stops, here's a new line just to end this review; zzzzzxxxxxcccccc
