these

Advertisements are really getting on my nerves, you're a talented artist and while there's a veneer of entertainment over these, they're still a blantant ad for those disgusting chocolates. It's okay to want to make money from your talent, but try to be dignified about it.

These weebl Cadbury toons aren't half as bad as those Fanta promotions, but they're both abysmal underneath.

didn't

Your early years of school ever teach you when captialisation is appropriate?

FatDragon responds:

No Im Irish

Wait...

That was IT?

Jesus, I know it's the very start of a series and you can't expect the world, but a couple of sloppily-drawn, tweened images over less than a minute is just plain bad for a series that's meant to be leaning towards 'epic'.

Maybe the next episodes will be more impressive...but for now, this isn't great.

Android-Music responds:

That's your opinion.

I don't

Even like video-game parodies as a rule...but this came so close to the real thing I can't help but love the hell out of it. I have to admit that I'm suckered mostly because I'm such a huge fan, but it's still reasonably well-produced and the visual jokes are great.

Also, I doubt I'll ever get a reply for this, but where would I find Cole's credits soundtrack from Gears1 that you used?

JohnnyUtah responds:

thanks dude

just google "cole rap" you should find it

This thing

Is still well and truly one of my favourite peices of flash media after maybe 3 years ago when I first saw it NGing in an earlier guise, PEACEPLANE too.

The style and brilliant cinematics really touch me, in a simliar way that all your earlier art/animation did. Between the sombre, hilarious and the downright insane, you sure know how to generate an atmosphere.

wait

Did you just completely rip off nath's charachter style/general atmosphere?

It's pretty good and I love elephants, but just because it's CN related doesn't mean you have to sacrifice all origionality.

Rutger responds:

Only because I used thin legs? That's stupid. The bear boy is supposed to be a bit of a reference to camp north.

Lower sound quality -

The animation was nothing remarkable (and a bit short), but what really caught me is that for something this long was 11.6mbs?

Use the library to reduce your sound quality, it will shed plenty of filesize and load-time from your future animations.

It's reasonable -

But only one step up from a basic test - it doesn't belong on NG.

God...

I still love everything you pull out of your various orifices.

I was really impressed with the facial animation in this one...there wasn't much else in the actual toon, but it definately deserves a mention anyway.

PS: Elephants are just goddamn awesome...in reality, elephantine grafts would be even more cool than in this thing.

an admirable venture

I have to say it now, this wasn't graphically impressive in the general sense. I do, however, like your camera angles and effects a lot.

As a story, this was definately a lot more adventurous than the standard NG full-length flash. I like how you blended the dementia/fantasy with reality in such contrast, I actually found myself by 2 minutes in getting slowly dragged into the storyline just to see what madness will come up next.

I could write quite a lot more, but I'll finish up by just saying that I'm very pleasantly suprised at how much effort you put into making this into a real kind of 'short movie', instead of just masking a dull story with snazzy animation.

It could always have been better graphically, but for now this thing is great.
