once you hate anime

you have already become too reasonable of a person to ever like it again, unless acute head trauma is involved

Daverom responds:

Once you hate anime, you realise that just like american cartoons or books or movies, there is well written ones, and there are badly written ones

amazing

your new character looks completely unlike anything I have ever seen before and her personality is so cute and mega cool ^__^ I like her because I can relate with her interests and she has large tits

Jcdr responds:

yeah, but she takes her interest to unhealthy, obsessive levels :<

you have physical issues, man!!

strongly consider visiting a medical expert if your eyes are vertical ovals over twice as large as your hands and set 3/4 down your oddly rectangular skull with no discernible jaw

HypNosE777 responds:

dude its a toon character...

i thought

that art was my life and soul too and couldn't imagine my life without it, then later on it turned out that I was an uninspired piece of shit and basically dropped it

just saying so you don't rule it out happening to you

a note is that if I ever saw somebody wearing a shirt like that I would definitely punch them in the torso hard enough to snap ribs

this is the part where I talk about the drawing itself but it isn't really remarkable enough to extract any decent comments about, or even non-decent ones so

and they all lived happily ever after

DNoack757 responds:

thank you... i think?

jesus

People really need to give it a rest with this top hat/monocle thing, it's clichéd and horrendously annoying. Get inspired instead of rehashing the same old tired jokes.

insanityxiii responds:

could you next time give me a bad review because of the quality of the work, because i actually own a tie, vest, top hat, and plan to purchase a monocle.

the problem I have with this is

That there isn't really any definition to the body at all, it looks as if you spent all your time on making the head look really good and then you just drew a jumbled pile of metal all around it in the vague shape of a torso.

Nekow responds:

exactly

blagh

the actual shirt design has turned out pretty fine but the line quality on the raw image is horrendous, it looks like the worst (40-55 ish) smoothing level you could possibly have chosen

also, if you're going to draw folds and wrinkles in skin, you should always make sure the creases actually affect the overall pattern of the skin somewhere and aren't just lines and streaks shat all across the image - you've used a mixture of both here but the overall effect is mediocre

I guess I should eek a compliment in here somewhere so yes overall it is a pretty neat design

Captain responds:

i really don't see a problem with the line quality, I wanted it to be kind of rough so I left it kind of rough. I wouldn't call it horrendous by any measure.

I also didn't just vomit lines all over the character, I put folds where I wanted to be folds. Looking at it now I only see one spot where I think it needs retouched, overall everything else makes sense to me.

Only real issue I'm spotting after a nights rest is that the color bleeds out in a bunch of places, that I need to fix.

tttttt

well the character art is pretty fair but your terrible ravishing of the blur filter in both the foreground and background actually makes me feel physically queasy

if you ask me you should try to draw the impression of something moving without using shoddy digital aids next time

PS. I think that right leg should've been a bit straighter and more vertical by the time it hit that water, he'd look downright silly running with legs that far apart

Walkingpalmtree responds:

Ah will do. Thanks for the critique! I really need it more.
Yes I'm not real happy with the legs either. That's the only thing that really bugs me a lot.

well

imitation is the sincerest form of flattery I suppose but I'm sure there must be a more creative and respectful way to express your devotion to the two series than by just directly emulating one of the original comic strips and just replacing CB and his fellows with auxiliary star wars characters

kevinbolk responds:

That is a more than fair criticism, though I can assure you more thought went into it than that.

if you keep on sketching

girls like this so often I wouldn't be surprised if in a few months you found it physically impossible to draw any kind of human form of any gender without giving it perfectly pert breasts and giant hips due to the fine motor function sections of your brain being trained into drawing those exact shapes all the time

rtil responds:

why do you care
